Viola ordata 'Czar' does anyone grow this species?

I ordered the seeds from Swallowtail, I have Winter Sowed them. I would like to know if some of you grow this species or something very close to it. Do you grow it in shade, partial shade or full sun?

I'm looking to attract Gulf fritillary butterfly and larvae. Let me know of your experience with this plant species. I also sowed Johnny Jump-ups too.

I have grown these violets before in shade and part shade. Some fritillaries lay their eggs on violets but Gulf Fritillaries lay their eggs on passion flowers and the adults love lantana flowers. Good luck!
