Pruning ( Violas)Johnny Jump-Ups

I have a question rather than a message. How do I go about pruning leggy Johnny Jump-Ups? I do not want to accidently cut off any flower heads or destroy the plants. Any tips would be most welcome.

Hi !

I don't know much about pansy but I guess that's just the same as violet, isn't it ? (anyway, post without any answer stays at the top and it's boring ;oP)
It's mainly depending how big your Johnny Jump-up is.
I think using a knife is the best way, by using your hands you may break the roots :-)

Good pruning :-)
Regards.
Thierry.
