Methods of propagation

I remember reading somewhere that violets propagated by three methods: runners, shooting out seeds when capsules were dry, and _________. I cannot remember the third way --- can anyone help? This is an odd request, because it isn't for propagation but for inclusion in a poem. Thanks in advance.

No Tracie, I think you are probably thinking of African violets, this is a hardy violet forum, sorry. Division is the correct answer, this should provide you with several crowns, (perhaps a more usefull word for a poem?)

You must let us hear the poem when its finished, best wishes Cive Groves
