| This white violet is fragrant and stoloniferous but it has a hooked spur and long narrow anther spur and forms thick scaly rhizomes. Can it be Viola odorata? Or perhaps a hybrid? It grows near but not necessarily in gardens around Santa Cruz. |

| I assume it is Viola odorata 'Alba', as it looks exactly like the ones showing up, here, that I call V. odorata. Check to see if it does not behave in every way like your common V. odorata, other than the color. |
