Help identify :-)

Hello folks :-)

I bought a new one in a French nursery called "odorata". The picture was a bit strange and it was said not to be scented. That's why I've got it of course, it aroused me :-)
I made a picture of that one and I'd like you to give me a hand naming it. It seems to be an odorata X sororia (Am I wrong ?) but, which one ?! That's the point :-)
To help you, it's different from the one called Mrs Pinehurst I have so...is it Governor Herrick or Royal Robe ??

Thanks for helping :-)
All the best
Thierry.

RE: Help identify :-)

hi thierry,

i would say governor herrick is a more likely ID. the plant of mrs pinehurst should look similar to gov. herrick. royal robe is a more 'conventional' looking plant and has scented flowers on long stems. i cant be certain from the pic but lean toward governor herrick.

hope your collection is full of flowers!

Hi Rob :-)

Thanks for your precious answer and glad to hear from you again :-)
Yes, spring time is coming and many blooms too (see the pic of the state of most of my violets - La France for exemple).

All the best.
Thierry :-)
