Deconstructing Pansies

I'm looking for the viola x wittrockiana that I remember as a child in the 1950's. Enough of the hybrid speciality and pastel colors. The excitement I remember was planting a bunch of mixed colors- blues, purples, reds and some would come up with very interesting nectar lines. You never knew what they would look like and apparently would cross-pollinate, make other varigations, sometimes blotches and sometimes lines.

The closest seeds I have come up with are the Majestic Giants but they don't seem to be as varied as the ones I remember. Is there any such thing as a historic pansy or a way to deconstruct the breeding of pansies?
