missidentified wild (?) pansy/viola

Hello,

I recently bought this species pansy on a plant fair. It was labled Viola coreana, which is definitely a mistake. Viola coreana is not a pansy and looks totally different.
Does anybody have an idea what my plant could be?

Thanks and greatings,

Alexander

Hi Alexander,

It looks a lot like Viola corsica to me - do you think that could be it? It was probably just a simple mistake someone made trying to remember the name :)

Hello Stefan,

I compared my plant to pictures of V. corsica. Yes, I think that this is my plant. And cor-EAN-a is just 3 letters from cor-SIC-a. Many thanks!

Alexander
