I finally have kept one plant of Viola pedata alive long enough to bloom. (I've bought and killed quite a few now)

Tom, That's fantastic-I've heard birdsfoot is very fickle, how'd you do it? That color variation is my favorite!

I'm not sure Brandy, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one will not only live, but multiply too. I think I might try feeding it a little with chelate (iron, etc.) fertilizer -- I've read somewhere that pedata likes that. And in the meantime, I'm trying to use it as a parent in as many interspecies crosses as I can try. Wish me luck!
