'johnnie jump up' HELP

Posted by marge26 Z6 Pa (My Page) on

I just love these!!! Should I dead-head the johnnie jump-ups or cut them back when they start falling over?
Also...I would fill my whole garden with these little beauties but I am a little confused...do they come back every year or not??
Does anyone know a "good" place to buy them?
Much Thanks for any help........Marge

These little beauties reseed for me every year. Watch for the tiny seedlings when you weed. This is the first year I got no seedlings so I have replanted them all over the garden. You can get them at any big garden center in those cell paks.

If the winter is mild or you have total snow cover, they will return, but in my area, they usually reseed.

I never deadhead them, but prefer to let them do their natural thing. They peter out when the hot weather comes, so they need time to form their seeds. When fall approaches, and after the seeds are dispursed, I cut them back for neatness.

I just ordered 1,450 for $1.44 from Calseeds on Ebay! They are great and have fast shipping! Here is a link (hopefully it will work). Good luck!

Aqua...I just tried to purchase them from your Calseeds site and they show "none found" when I ran a search.
