Violets for naturalizing

I have a large semi-shaded area (30x50)in my backyard. I want to use violets for total ground cover. Where can I get a large quantity of plants or seeds to plant the area? I am in Northeast Ohio. Thanks!

Hi,

Google is your friend !
Don't you have "normal shops" called nurseries in the place you live in ? What about taking a walk in nature as well ?

All the best :-)

Hi,

I wondered if you did this and how it worked because I am thinking of doing the some thing. We are building a house in the woods in Southeastern Ohio. There are already violets growing there in clumps but after the house is built I would like to have violets instead of grass. I think some violets spread better than others so if you did it I wondered what kind you used.

Thanks.

i dig up the plants and move them to where i want instead of trying to grow them from seed
