Please help identify this one also.......

A friend sent this one to me years ago and I've since lost contact with him and can't recall the species. For some reason I thought it was called something like "dalmatica", but too much time has passed and I wouldn't be sure. Any help to identify it is very much appreciated...

The leaves look more like the dalmatian bellflower, not a violet, although it usually blooms with a violet color.

nope .... it isn't a Campanula. It is most definitely a violet. I grow others besides this one and know what they are, but this one eludes me.
