online source for *pansies*, plants not seeds - pic

Hi All,

I'm looking for a place to buy pansies. I'll never be able to grow them from seed. I looked at the places people mentioned in other posts on buying violets, but those aren't the flowers I want. I want the ones with the faces, smuts, black lines, more complicated color pattern. Getting around is hard for me, and they're not at home depot or frank's, which are the only places i can get to easily. So I'd appreciate any help.

I'm so sad. :( No one answered my question? Is it that no one knows, or it's a stupid question, or no one considers pansies to be violets and so I'm in the wrong forum (even though there are discussions here about the lack of clarity over what distinguishes pansies from violets)? =(

I can understand your disappointment. I have searched all over the Internet for a source of 'on-line Pansy Plants'... no luck.

Perhaps we have to wait until later in the season, say early September, when the weather has cooled down and people are more likely to order and plant Pansies.

You're on the right forum. Unfortunately, it's just not pansy season. They don't take the heat too well, and are usually sold in early spring and again in the fall.
