dear possum2, i am ashamed to say i have lost a few violets over the years, too. in particular, i moved house last spring and we will not quickly forget last summer in melbourne...very difficult for gardeners. i still have some plants of 'king of the doubles'. as the season progresses, i'm sure i will have some runners to share. send me an email.
(in our cool and damp late winter, i spare a thought for my european friends struggling with their shocking summer.)
