My grandmother said she had large hardy (zone 7/8) violets that grew well in her flowerbed. She said they took over and she always regretted pulling all of them up and throwing them away. They were over a foot tall (maybe 2 foot). She said they had very large leaves, and I asume large flowers. Does anyone know what kind that might be?
