| Hi. I DO have fungus gnats (I see them flying around occasionally), but I want to make sure that the little critters on top of the soil are the larvae of the gnats and not something worse. How can I tell? The violets are blooming and seem relatively happy. The pests on the surface of the soil are very small (less than a 1/16 of an inch) and move relatively quickly. The analogy would be a very small ant, but no appendages are visible.
Any thoughts on how to be sure what I have? |
