help IDing this weed please

I'm not used to having many weeds survive the winter in my garden. This year I have a whole lot of these spreading, snowflake-looking weeds with deep taproots. I'd like to know what they are in case I need to do something special to get rid of them.
Does anybody know of a really good book to help gardeners ID various kinds of garden weeds?
