Hello everyone, I'm here to ask your help in identifying a giant weed that is taking over my garden. It has a really thick stalk (about an inch in diamter) and it has huge leaves (sometimes bigger than a foot!)

If you don't cut it down it gets huge! I had one that was about 6 feet tall! It is growing in a cluster.

I know it isn't knotweed, paulownia, or sumac. Does anyone have any ideas?

Does it look like this? The leaves and stems are hairy/sticky, it has a huge taproot, and it eventually grows long thin things topped with purple flowers that attract bumblebees.

It is the bane of my life.
