the edges of the leaf are a little fuzzy in the picture - but it looks like what the old timers call "opposum grapes" - they get little white fruit that looks more like a currant - tiny with a big seed, but they're delicious. Farmers used to use them for homemade wine. They love to climb into tree tops and will eventually kill a tree - but I "cultivate them" to allow them along trails and fences because they're so hardy. They can be invasive though.

Can you describe it? Is it short-stemmed ground-cover? vine?

Thank you all for your help I still didnt figure out what it was but I think I got most of it pulled and killed off.It looks as if it was an old stump there so who knows but thank you for your help.

ok well all summer this thing has become bigger we cut it back, but lately we havent had the time so now I go out this morning and it has red flower buds growing on it and the stems themselves about 2 to 3 ft tall and the leaves get about 6 inches wide, they are not fuzzy and no berries on it I dont have access to a camera so I cant show it to you but if anyone has any idea I sure would love to hear from you.
