My apologies for not having a picture of this stuff.

I'm in New Hampshire, and have this clumpy weed-stuff growing into my beds. Generally, I find it starts on the 'edges' of a new bed, and spreads rapidly by shallow runners, all connected by a very thin 'string' runner with many shoots surfacing along it. It's very easy to pull out, but you can never get all of it, since I'm convinced that breaking the runner only makes it shoot out in more directions like medusa.

Size: A 'clump' is not more than a couple inches tall, but full and maybe the size of your hand.

Shape: Leaves look like little trowels- oval with two little thingies sticking out each side of the leaf...here's a bad drawing:

I always find it growing in my (fine pine bark) mulch, too. Again, VERY easy to rip out, but hard to eradicate entirely.

Thanks for any help you can offer!
