 o
Lesser Celandine - Edible?

Has anyone tried eating Lesser Celandine? What does it taste like when cooked?
I just shoveled the snow and there were leaves growing under there. I want to eat it into submission but I don't trust sites that say it's okay when cooked.
How would I even find a lab that could test a plant for toxicity?

Ask Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
They can search their extensive database for reliable info.

The WebMD site says this plant is unsafe in any quantity.

I wouldn't even think of eating anything in the Ranunculaceae.

"Ranunculaceae contain protoanemonin, which is toxic to humans and animals. Other poisonous or toxic compounds, alkaloids and glycosides, are also very common." (WIki)
