This weed popped up about 3 years ago and I have been battling it every since. It has runners underground and vines up on anything at all. I have spent hours and hours picking runners out of the ground. Some go 6-8inches deep or 2-3 feet along to another section of garden bed. I have never seen it flower so it seems to be spreading via the underground runners. They are very thin runners. It is tenacious and has started to come up again. I don't know where I got it but it is in my full sun vegetable garden patch and it must go!!!! I have tried the smothering technique with layers of newspaper and mulch but eventually it just grew inbetween and still got bigger.
