Curly dock needs careful treatment if you are going to eat it as there are toxicity issues. Not as straight forward as things like dandelion, chickweed or purslane. If people are going to eat their weeds, the correct id is only the first step to using them safely.

For many people unwanted plants are "weeds" whether they are foods or wild flowers. For many people the only plants you should grow are those hybridized, invasives being foisted on us in the market place today.

I've just harvested my Amaranth and preparing to saute it now. Will possibly go into the freezer as an order of side greens or into another Wild Amaranth Quiche. How delicious!

One problem with "FREE EDIBLE WEEDS" is that most have a very short period of edibility before they are too bitter to eat, or become too tough to be edible without long boiling.

The domesticated relatives have been selected for longer period of edibility.
