Crabgrass prevention fertilizer. Now?

Hello, I live in WI and this entire week it will be over 70, and possibly next week as well. I thought I read that it only takes three days of 60+ degree weather for the crabgrass to begin germinating and that is when you want to start the fertilizer treatments.

Is this correct or should I hold off? It is unseasonably warm right now, we are supposed to b averaging 40 degrees the rest of the month, but today it will be 80 and the rest of the month looks to be 70 with a possible cold dips.

Any advice on this? I have Scotts Fertlizier with Crabgrass prevention and a spreader.

I do have these yellow tulip looking things on the side of my house and they are beginning to flower as well.
