Drought has killed my weeds in southern California

californian

This year we are having the worst drought in recorded history in Orange County, California. Usually winter rains bring a profusion of weeds, but it has been so dry this year with only about 2.5 inches of rain in the last 10 months that even the weeds have died. The few hearty one that managed to survive can easily be mangaged by pulling them out by hand. My yard is now almost weed free except for a few weeds like oxalis that I like because of the pretty yellow flowers that I let live.
