does my weed have a name? other then WEED

Have tons of these growing on a hillside. They do look pretty with their yellow flowers but they spread everywhere. Neighbors have them too. I don't remember seeing them at my last house a mile away.

"Ranunculus ficaria" is an introduced plant species and in some areas is considered invasive and you may want to contact your local Cornell University USDA Cooperative Extension Service office for more information about it in your area and probable eradications methods.
