I hope someone can help identify this weed in my lawn. Thanks.

    Bittercress.

    See those long things on the stem? They're seed pods, which when the split, will spontaneously fling their seeds many feet from the parent.

    Fortunately, the plants are easy to pull out if you grab them near the base.

    Do so now!

    Thank you. I had sprayed w weed b gone but now I see this weed is not listed on their label. I'll start pulling after breakfast! Is there a product that works on them ( for future) ? Thank you

    Here is some information on Hairy Bittercress. Proper lawn care will help squeeze them out. You can look at using preemergents in the fall but I am not sure how effective they are.
