That doesn't look like what I've always known as crabgrass. It looks like the gras that IS my yard, called wiregrass around here. If it's coming from adjacent properties, it seems like an impossible and pointless battle to me, it is rhizomatous, unless you want to get into a SERIOUS barrier.

Your options:
1) pulling
2) mowing on a higher setting and hoping your taller grasses crowd it out
3) starting over with new sod or seed after killing your existing lawn completely

Hard to tell for sure what it is. It looks like dallisgrass, but it could also be smooth crabgrass. Either way, did you try weed-b-gone max, or crabgrass killer??

Is this the one that gets its seed heads stuck in your pants and socks like tiny burrs from hell? I have had to throw out several pairs of socks and a couple pair of pants after getting these little $&^#!@(^ 's in them. They are nearly impossible to completely remove from clothing and the smallest bit will scritch and annoy to no end. Are we talking about the same weed here?
