poison ivy all throughout the yard

I posted earlier today about a creeping charlie problem but apparently I have an even bigger problem. I spent last weekend dealing with poison ivy in a rock-covered retaining wall (at a property I own but am not living at presently). I walked around the large yard today and discovered individual poison ivy plants popping up all over the yard. I sprayed them with Round Up poison ivy and brush killer (seemed to be working on the poison ivy in the rock wall). I know it's going to kill the grass around it but I want it to be gone asap. Problem is, the grass needs to be cut very soon - everything is growing like crazy here in Ohio. I assume mowing it is a bad idea because it can spread the debris around the yard and my husband is very sensitive to it, How long should I wait before doing anything more? I thought about pulling as much as I can by hand (with protection of course). Any ideas? Never had this problem before and I don't know what to do.
