Maybe Fleabane?

Whether that is a "weed" or not depends on you. A "weed" is any plant you do not want growing where you do not want it to grow. For many people Dandelions are considered "weeds" while for many others Dandelions are a cash crop, grown to sell to upscale resturants so many people that poison their lawns to get rid of Dandelions can eat them in a salad.

I don't think its fleabane as the various pictures I've found of it show longer white petals.

As to it being a weed I stated that I am planting native plants for a butterfly garden. if this is a native plant that is either a larval host or a nectar source then it's not a weed ... Otherwise for me it is....

Watch in the mornings and late afternoon to see what bugs come to the plant. It is one of the daisy's but I don't find it in my books.
