Light green weed/grass in my dark green lawn?

Hello all you gardening experts! I was hoping someone might be able to identify this light green weed or grass that just recently popped up in my yard. I think the pictures will do a better job of describing it than i can so please take a look if you have some time. it might be of interest that I live in Omaha, NE and we have just went through a very very wet period and now it has gotten very humid and hot. From a little research i tried to do, I found that this could be Nutsedge? or Poa? or a creeping bentgrass? i do not know what any of those are though.

Can someone identify this?

What can i do to get rid of it?

Well, more sure about what it is NOT. It is not bent, annual bluegrass or nutsedge. It has a similarity to one of the foxtails (Setaria spp.), but can't be sure. You might google and compare.

crab grass, an annual weed grass. Your options are to 1) spot-spray it with Round-Up, although you will also kill surrounding grass with overspray, 2) hand-pull it 3) combo hand-pull/seedhead control this year and application of a pre-emergent NEXT year.

If it were my yard I would hand-pull the crab grass and immediately treat bare spots with turf seed to fill back in.
