"Convolvulus arvensis", field bindweed and Morning Glory, "Convolvulaceae", are so similar that it can be difficult to tell them apart, although for many of us Morning Glory is an annual. However Morning Glory can also germinate from seeds that are dropped by the plants, so some people think that Morning Glory is a perennial.

That's morning glory. You can pull the seedlings if they come up where you don't want them. Bindweed has a more pointed, arrowhead looking leaf, and I've never seen seedlings.

Bindweed seedlings do not have the strong indentation that morning glories have. After it has flowered you can decide if you want to have next year. If not try to remove the seedpods. The seeds will live in the ground for several years so even if you do not like it you will have it for a while.

Thanks for the help...so the opinion is that is it morning glory? I dont want it and want to get rid of it as soon as possible. Should I keep mowing it or pull it? It is growing in a place that I want to grow grass...and it takes over growing up the fence. I heard weed killer is ineffective. It that true?
