What do the leaves feel like?

are the leaves a prickly type ,it looks like a wild weed we find on our farm but I don't know the name

They're just normal smooth leaves. Maybe I should put it in the plant forum since it doesn't appear to be a common weed.

Yes it's an Epilobium. I am not familiar with N American species but it is definitely a willow herb. Get the seed heads off before they burst. They disperse by downy parachutes, like dandelions.
