Weed Killer Mistake

In a fever-induced frenzy I accidently confused my weed killer for mildew control spray. I attempted to wash it from my plants, but it seems my butterfly bushes and black eyed susans have taken the brunt of it. Is there anything I can do to try to save these plants? Will they come back next year, or have I lost them forever? Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

One of the better reasons to not have any of those types of products around. A story in Birds and Blooms is very similar, in preparaion for a visit by her garden club this person sprayed the whole garden with a glyphosate product.
Plan on replanting everything, amend the soil well with organic matter (these plant killers can stay in the soil and at a minimum slow plant growth for years), adn get rid of any and all plant killers.

The answers to your questions can only be determined if you let us know what herbicide you used. We need the chemical name.
