Bad year for allergies and was unable to get to my flower beds for days and now weeds galorie. I am thinking of spraying the area. I can cover my few poppies with buckets and my lilies there have bloomed and gone. I also have columbines but not worried about them I can replenish them with them from other areas. Give imput of what you think.

The most effective and least expensive way to remove unwanted ("weed") plant growth is mechanical. Even it you sprayed those unwanted plants you would still need to remove the dead plant material, so pull them and either compost them or mulch mow them into the soil around that planting bed. Put the nutrients those unwanted plants have back into your soil.
