Weed identification

Hello,

Can someone please help me identify this woody weed that grows in my yard? I pull it up by the roots but it always comes back. Any help would be appreciated. I will try to upload images.

If this keeps returning, even though you think you are pulling it up by the roots, you are not getting all the roots. It is difficult to determine just which plant this is but if it is growing where you don't want it to grow it is a "weed".
