So my neighbor has a St. Augustine yard, and I have Bermuda. Inevitably his St. Augustine has started sending runners over into my yard. Is there a way to kill the St. Augustine that has encroached on my yard without harming my Bermuda? I heard that MSMA is an option, but I just wanted to do some checking before I intervened. Anyone have any opinions?

roundup will do it. it WILL cause the bermuda to brown up, but it will grow right back in a couple weeks. MSMA will do the same thing.

MSMA is the way to go. mixed according to label directions it shouldnt damage the bermuda. it might yellow it slightly for a couple weeks but thats it. with MSMA, more isnt better. dont mix it stronger than on the label. spray the st. aug every ten days for three sprayings. that should take care of it nicely. that stuff will work on most other grassy weeds in your bermuda turf as well. again with the same three time spray schedule. dallisgrass may take a fourth spray.
