| Perhaps one of the invasive irises? Iris ochroleuca? In any event, if you don't want it, get rid of it before it takes over. |

| Cattail? It looks like it is growing in a ditch, and the bottom appears to show a round "stem" where the flat leaves come out of. Are the leaves white inside and are spongy? |

| Yes, they are spongy. I do think it is a cattail. Kind of strange since the nearest one is about 1/4 mile away. |
