Help identifying viney weed

We live in Nebraska and we have had a nasty vine type weed that takes over our fence once a year. The vines are quite thick and the leaves are big (almost like an ivy leaf, but bigger and not as pointy). During the late spring/early fall it makes large oblong(almost shaped like jalapeno peppers) pods and in late summer it makes these prickly little clusters. We've tried keeping them at bay, but they grow so fast, they get out control. And it attracts great black wasps. Any help with identifying it or any suggestions on how to keep it from returning every year?

I would suggest wild burr cucumber and one of the vining milkweeds.
