Name of this ... Weed or legume?

I bought some white clover and peppered it throughout my lawn. Clover I identified but I don't know what this is ... Initially I thought it to be clover but it doesn't look like it. I let it grow with the clover but it is overwhelming the area. Is this plant a weed or legume or clover? Thanks.

Tain't Clover, tain't a legume, 'tis a mallow. Some mallows are desirable plants, when growing in the right place, while others are considered "weeds" because they grow where we do not want them to.

I think the weed is Geranium carolinianum. Makes a white taproot, flowers are pink/white/purple. Grows readily from seed.

It is definitely a Malva sp., not a Geranium. I don't know which ones would be likely in your region.

Does not look like a geranium to me.
