Location?

The other post by this member shows New York.

Are all of the growing tips cut off? Look like they are, but it's an awkward angle. It looks like there's 2 different plants growing there but I'm just not sure.

Sorry, I'm new to this site. I'm from Long Island, New York. I'll try to take picture on a better angle. Yes, I did cut it because I thought it was a weed.

No need to apologize. The fact that folks know it was cut will remove some of the mystery since people will know the growth tips are not there. And moves me farther toward thinking it's some type of shrub or previously mangled tree seedling.
