Weed ID, please

HI All-

My mother has a tall plant in her garden; she's letting it grow just to see what happens.

It has some seed-heads/flower pods on it, but they haven't ripen or bloomed yet.

It's very tall--maybe 6 or 7 feet right now, and growing still.

Any ideas?
