Back in January I saw a little 2 inches shoot coming out of the ground. To my inexpert eye it looked like a pappaya and I thought a bird had gifted us a seed. A few month later it was a couple of feet and I was convinced it was a Big Red Mexican Pappaya:-) Now this 9 month old 'weed' is bigger than my house and I am going to need a permit to cut it if I do not do something about it quickly! My son calls it the giant bean stalk and plans to climb on it to each the ogre's castle:-) If it keeps growing that way he may succeed LOL.

I am new to gardening so any help identifying this giant weed would be much appreciated.
