Spurge-like Weed Identification

Someone told me this weed looked like spurge to them. Yes it does. But I don't think that it's growing out from one central root. I think most of the stalks have their own root. I could be wrong; I'll check this out.

Maybe it is a variation of spurge that is not prostrate?

It is really fast-growing and has cropped up recently!

Compare to Lespedeza striata, Japanese clover. Clover like leaf, purple flower. PITA.

Spurges can root at nodes on the stems.
