What type of weed(?) is this?

Hello All.

I've included links to three pictures of a mysterious weed/plant that began growing and spreading on parts of my property last year and spread even more this year.

The plant grows to about 3 feet tall and has a very smooth stalk with 'bulbous' areas where it branches. It pulls from the ground extremely easily.

Picture #1 shows a close up of the stalk, #2 shows a closeup of the seed pods, #3 shows the whole plant. I'd like to identify it and find a way to get rid of it!

Don't recognize the weed, but the links seem to work just fine. Make sure you don't copy the "image#:" part with the link.

Jewelweed. A native impatince. has a yellow or orangish cone shaped flower sometimes with a cup handle like structure attached. A very nice plant.
