| hi ! i have a hill/slope that has never been taken care of and is over run with weeds, some are 6 feet tall! i have pulled the big ones out, used round up and elimanator and it all comes back with a vengeance!
QUESTION:: does anone know of any seeds that i can throw out or plants i can plant that will over run the weeds and power them out eventually??? i have several sunset lantanas that i am thinking about plainting about 50 cuttings to see if that helps.....ANY SUGGESTIONS???? kitty |
Follow-Up Postings:
| If the degree of slope is fairly shallow plunking down some newspaper down and covering that with a good, thick mulch will help. If the slope is steep that may not stay in place. |
| If you can keep it mowed and it has good light, grass will out compete the weeds in a year or two. |
| I'm pretty sure there are some cover crops out there with weed suppressing agents but you'd have to ask others out there for what the names are |
