Keeping vine from 'sticking'.....

Around my shed has been infested (for years) by a vine that seems to have "hands".....almost looks like the feet of some crawling frog-type creatures (Ill get pics later).

Once it hits my shed it just stays attached and actually grows up and INTO the shed. I just finished digging up around the shed itself, and sprayed with Ground Clear, so Im good for now.

Just wondering if there is anything that can be sprayed on the shed itself to prevent the vines from crawling up (assuming they even grow back, which I hope to prevent with the Ground Clear).

Thanks.

Chris,

I've been thinking about your question. It's a good one, and were there a product available it could be put to good use in certain instances.

However, at least as far as I am aware, there are currently no herbicides that would do this. IIRC all soil residual herbicides are degraded by sunlight so none would work on the outer surfaces of buildings. Also it would be one more potential place where children or pets could be exposed to the herbicide.
