burr clover

As I walk around my property I can see my biggest problem this year will be burr clover. I have pulled afew and each burr has a little root and leaves coming out. A few days ago I burned over an area with a weed burner. Today I looked under the burned leaves and there it is in all it's glory. So I plan to go back to Rd up asap. Any advise about the solution to use to knock it out.

Thanks Penny

RE: burr clover

Burclover is a plant that looks similar (so they tell me) to Black Medic. Mechanical cultivation for control is not recommended since this plant will root from the chopped up stems, but any "weed" control containing 2,4, D (gasp) will help control it. Apparently, this stuff grows best in soils with a lower soil pH and needing nutrients, and/or organic matter.
