Reddish brown babies!

We tried to move the nesting material from our newspaper box only to discover three little eggs, so we put it back. We now have three babies and the mother is a reddish brown bird. Our newspaper carrier finally saw the nest and she put up an extra box for the newspaper, so as to not disturb the babies. Last year I had babies in a nest on the wreath of my front door. I couldn't use the front door, but had a "bird's eye" view of the babies. Hope you enjoy the picture!

Was the mama reddish brown all over, one even color?
How big? Sparrow size? Robin size? Eagle size?

The mama was reddish brown all over and sparrow size. She would make a funny buzzy sound whenever I would check my box. The babies have now flown the coop.

You have surely found out by now, but it sounds like a Wren.
