What kind of eggs are these?

I have a very small pond that I enjoy wandering around and the other day spotted these eggs in the water...there were blood suckers in them and seemed to be eating them, not tending them. As far as I can tell they must be a reptile egg. Seems very late for them to be toad or frog eggs. Can anyone identify?

I believe frogs lay eggs in roundish clumps, while toads lay eggs in strings. The picture appears to be clumps of eggs, so it may be a frog.

Toad tadpoles ("toadpoles") are solid black. Frog tadpoles are bigger and are shades of greenish, brown, and may be speckled.
