Looking to attract Humming Birds and Butterflies

I have read all the forums on Joe Pie Weed and was still wondering if someone could tell me if they have a problem with it falling over when it rains. We just put in a pool and want to start a showy flower garden in the back of the fence area. Can anyone suggest some plants that would attract humming birds? We have butterflies throughout the property on our coneflowers and lantana but are looking for something to bring in humming birds. Our neighbors have them but the use the liquid feeder and I think they are a little tacky so I need a flower to get them to our property. Thanks for your ideas.

Turk's Cap or also known as Malvaviscus arboreus. We have had multiple humming birds be attracted to Turk's Cap. Chop it back in the winter and it will re-grow for the summer. It has gorgeous red flowers. Also on my blog I have a recipe for a natural humming bird food.
